We have all been involved in these days of the painful situation of Haiti and the terrible consequences of the massive earthquake that devastated the land.
From the first moment we have received messages of solidarity from the family of the Home of the world, with requests for information and assurances of prayers for the many victims and for the whole nation.
Six days after the devastating earthquake we were able to speak by telephone with Wilfrid Joachin , local coordinator of the Home, which lives in Mount-Organisé, a city in northern Haiti. Joachim makes a point of the situation in this part of the country: " Two of our friends studying in Port-au-Prince have survived. Almost all families have lost one or more of their members in the earthquake because many people from villages to the capital to live temporarily for work or studies. Family responsibilities has lost seven of his eight children. At this time, as a result of the destruction in Port-au-Prince, everyone is trying to get away from the city to the countryside .
"Many people came to the capital Ounaminthe (city of north-east, located on border with the Dominican Republic), with nothing, because they have lost everything they had in Port-au-Prince. And they do not know where to go for days without eating and begging for food and shelter. The same happens in other cities such as Mount-Organisé, Savanette, Carice. The whole country is destroyed, shaved down by the great disaster. We came up with the idea of \u200b\u200bbuilding a center for poor families .
