Happy holidays to all!

January 2010

the tabernacle of God among men! He will dwell with them, and they shall be his people and he will be the 'God-with-them' "

From January 18 to 25 in many parts of the world are celebrating the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity while others are celebrated at Pentecost.
As we recall, he used to comment on Clare gradually Bible verse chosen for this occasion with the Word of Life the same month.

This year the biblical phrase for the Week of Prayer is: "You are witnesses of this" (Luke 24:48). To help us live this text we propose to clarify how "recall urgent "to us Christians to witness together to God's presence in the world.

the tabernacle of God among men! He will dwell with them, and they shall be his people and he will be the 'God-with-them' "

The Word of God challenges us this month. If you want to be part of his people, we let him live among us.
But how is this possible, and how to anticipate a little ', since this land, the endless joy that will come from the vision of God?
And 'This is what Jesus told us, that's the meaning of his coming: to communicate his love life with the Father, because we too can live.
Even now, we Christians can live this phrase and have God with us. Requires him among us, as claimed by the Fathers of the Church, under certain conditions. Basil is to live according to the will of God, John Chrysostom is the love as Jesus loved, to Theodore of Studion is mutual love, and Origen is the agreement of thought and feeling to reach the agreement which "combines and contains the Son of God. "
teaching of Jesus is the key to allowing God to dwell among us: "Love one another as I have loved you" (cf. Jn 13:34). E 'Mutual love is the key to the presence of God, "If we love one another, God abides in us "(1 Jn 4:12) because:" Where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in their midst "(Matt. 18:20), Jesus says

" God dwell with them, they will be his people "

So it is not so far away and unreachable that day that will mark the completion of all the promises of the Covenant:" In the midst of them will be my home: I will be their God and they shall be my people "(Ez 37.27).
Everything is already accomplished in Jesus that continues beyond its historical existence, to be present among those who live under the new law of mutual love , that norm that makes them a people, the people of God
This Word of Life is therefore an urgent call, especially for us Christians, to witness the love God's presence "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples if you have love for one another "(Jn 13:35). The new commandment because it paves the way you lived implement the presence of Jesus among men.
Nothing we can do if that presence is not guaranteed, a presence that gives meaning to the supernatural brotherhood that Jesus brought to earth for all mankind.

"God will dwell with them, they will be his people"

But it is above all of us, Christians, though belonging to different ecclesial communities, to let the world one people made up of every ethnicity, race and culture, great and small, sick and healthy. One people to whom you can say, like the early Christians: "See how they love and are ready to give their lives for each other."
E 'this is the "miracle" that humanity is waiting to hope again and a necessary contribution to ecumenical progress, the journey towards full and visible unity of Christians. It is a 'miracle' within our reach, or rather, one who, living among its united by love, can change the fate of the world, bringing humanity towards full unity.
